Nashik, Jan 21 (PTI) The fifth intra-state university research festival 'Avishkar 2011' was today inaugurated by Dr D C Katoch, national consultant (traditional medicine and homoeopathy), World Health Organisation. About 550 students from across Maharashtra and delegates from 19 universities, attended the three-day festival organised by city based Maharashtra University of Health sciences (MUHS). Students will present their projects on various subjects and the three best projects would be selected for awards, organisers said. Discourses on various topics by eminent personalities and lectures on health related issues by experts and exhibition, besides cultural programmes by students have also been arranged, they said. Maharashtra Minister of medical education Vijaykumar Gavit, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University Vice-Chancellor Dr R Krishnakumar, MUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Arun Jamkar were among the guests present at the inaugural function.
